Holly Willoughby: Man Arrested in Alleged Kidnapping and Murder Plot

Potter’s Field, 36-year-old Gavin Plumb of Harlow, has been charged with murder and abduction. The plan involved inciting someone to travel to the UK and allegations of kidnapping and assembling a survival kit. He appeared in Chemsford Magistrate Court on a suspicious Friday and was remanded in custody. These allegations came after an arrest made on Wednesday, October 4th.

Detective Chief Inspector Rob Kirby said, ‘This was a fast-paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working tirelessly overnight to secure these allegations. ‘The safety of any victim is paramount, and we will continue to prioritize this and work alongside the Metropolitan Police Service as the investigation progresses.’

The owners were warned about an alleged plot on Thursday morning, and the presenter decided to exit the broadcast a while before it aired. ITV is ‘shocked’ and is providing security and assistance to Viloby. An ITV spokesperson said, ‘This is a big shock to all of us, and in these unbelievably difficult times, we want to offer Holly and her family our love and full support.’

On Friday morning, Dermot O’Leary said, ‘We’re not going to say much about it, but after Essex Police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of an alleged kidnapping plot, Holly’s the first page of Holi. Now he has been charged by Essex Police.”
